Anmol & Abhishek met in Delhi University through their common interests, theatre and cinema. They were both active in collegiate theatre at their university & outside as well.

Having interned with Gautam Kishanchandani (casting director for Anurag Kashyap’s initial films like Black Friday, No Smoking & Gulal), they worked on their first project together i.e. Dev D. This is when they realised that they clicked as a team & understood each other’s cue.

While Abhishek finished college and working in Delhi taking theatre workshops & doing voice overs, Anmol on the other hand continued directing and producing plays in DU & outside. They were both a part of the Thespo team in Delhi and sought out for work in any medium of performing arts, always grabbing opportunities & collaborating. Seeing these two individuals filled with passion, Gautam offered them a job in Mumbai.

Abhishek & Anmol started to assist Gautam. Together, they enjoyed working on No One Killed Jessica and Once Upon A Time In Mumbai. Gautam showed them the way & they followed with zest.

During this time, they started to understand casting as a job profile. They worked on many projects as freelancers and finally created Casting Bay two years back.

Casting is a crucial part of filmmaking. Hence, they decided to hand pick a few talented and passionate people to work with them & together run Casting Bay – fishing for the ultimate talent out there!

This year, they have enjoyed their run starting with films like Phillauri to Toilet Ek Prem Katha, Tu Hai Mera Sunday, Ajji & most recently, Secret Superstar.
